The FFT has been the platform for professional independent theater in Düsseldorf since 1999. Theater, performance, dance, visual arts and music, as well as formats that emerge at the transitions between the genres, find their place at the FFT. The FFT not only provides artists with a stage, but also works with them to find new ideas and opportunities for public exchange. For the FFT, art, research and education are fields of action on which it negotiates social discourses. In doing so, the house acts as a partner in an (inter)national network of production sites and theaters.
