CECAD investigates the causes of the aging process and aging-associated diseases. More than 400 international scientists from the University, the University Hospital, the two Max Planck Institutes for Metabolic Research and for Biology of Aging as well as the German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases (DZNE) are conducting research at the Cluster of Excellence CECAD.
