{"id":2810,"date":"2022-08-19T12:46:24","date_gmt":"2022-08-19T10:46:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/taifun-plus.org\/?post_type=wer&#038;p=2810"},"modified":"2022-08-19T12:52:52","modified_gmt":"2022-08-19T10:52:52","slug":"kanako-sehara-art","status":"publish","type":"wer","link":"https:\/\/taifun-plus.org\/en\/wer\/kanako-sehara-art\/","title":{"rendered":"Kanako Sehara, Art"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Calligraphy and Tenkoku Seal Engraving Artist<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Kanako Sehara&#8217;s works are based on traditional techniques and address themes such as \u00bbnature and human,\u00ab \u00bbtime and sky,\u00bb and \u00bbsound and word.\u00ab<br><br>Her solo exhibitions with the themes of \u00bbscientific signs,\u00ab \u00bbequality\/non-equality,\u00ab and \u00bbcunt\u00ab have been shown at Issoan Zen Monastery (2020), Kyukyodo Gallery in Ginza (2017) and Kansai Airport Exhibition Hall (2012) in Japan, among others. In 2014, she made live painting for 7 days in the main window of Hankyu Department Store Umeda in Osaka. She created an online performance series with CUNTethics and SQUATconstallation in Berlin (2020). She performed at the NU Chayamachi event \u00bbBlack World\u00ab (Osaka, 2017) and at the Kiyomihara Shrine&#8217;s memorial service for tsunami victims (Osaka, 2011). Her works have also been painted on temple plaques and products, such as the \u00bbFushimizukura\u00ab plaque for Kyoto sake brand Kizakura Sake (2016) and the \u00bbDewazakura\u00ab label for the 90th anniversary of Seijo Ishii (2017).<br><br>Kanako runs her own school of calligraphy and tenkoku in Osaka. She teaches regularly at the Miho Museum School and the YMCA in Japan.
