Her core theme is borderline experiences, which \u2013 always reduced to the essential \u2013 are made tangible in interaction with the audience. In 2013, she founded the ensemble only connect!, which operates as an association and which she presides over as artistic director and first chairwoman.<br><br>In addition to longstanding collaborations with the Semperoper Dresden (\u00bbTanz a la Carte\u00ab (2013\u20132017), \u00bbTod im Tutu\u00ab (2017\u20132018), Stearns has staged only connect!&#8217;s community-funded projects: \u00bblet go: a theatrical performance\u00ab (2017), \u00bbWaiting for Godot\u00ab (Samuel Beckett, 2018), \u00bbEla: The Calm After the Storm\u00ab (2019), \u00bbThe Zoo Story\u00ab (Edward Albee, 2020), and David Mamet&#8217;s \u00bbOleanna\u00ab (2021). For Semperoper Dresden, she wrote the libretto of the ballet \u00bbAlice \u2013 A Journey into Wonderland\u00ab (Semper Zwei), which premiered in 2019, and has been directing exclusive school theater performances at the Goetheschule Essen (NoFear! English Drama Group) since 2010. Furthermore, she performed in and directed J.-L.
